The Lifter Up Of My Head

I was feeling a little down today. I'm not getting many hours on my job lately and money is tight. I guess Satan thinks I'll forsake God and stop giving to the Lord. God has always supplied my needs and He knows what I have need of , even before I ask. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think. I look at what He's already given me and I'm reminded that some of the poorest people in the United states would be considered rich in many other countries. God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. God lifted me up when I prayed, believing what I read in His word. Let God be true and every man a liar. I will trust the Lord.

While We Were Yet Sinners

I wrote a song when I was in Nashville trying to break into country music. I was thinking about the sacrifice that Jesus made for me while reading Romans chapter 5. This statment jumped out at me and I had to write the song. "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".

Face to Face!

After Coming face to face with mortality and eternity at my brother Steve's funeral, God has given me a renewed zeal to follow Jesus. By God's grace and mercy I have been saved and born again and it's by that same grace I rely on Him to meet all my needs.

God is teaching me to love more and will show me how to help others. He has given me a compassion for lost souls, the poor and hungry and those who are suffering with sickness. These are things that over the years I have shoved to the back in my life.

I pray that the body of Christ will return to the faith and boldness of the early church and that I will commit myself and all of my resourses to see the gospel proclaimed throughout the earth. I must dedictae myself to more prayer for individuals God may place in my path and to learning more of God's word. For it's God's word that will reveal His will to me.

I must strive to be like Jesus and to put aside every weight and the sin that so easily besets me that I may do the will of the Father. God has begun to reveal His purpose for my life as I humble myself before Him. He has said that I will prosper even as my soul prospers and whatever I put my hands to, it shall prosper. I purpose to do all things as unto the Lord.

I will endeaver to be holy even as he is holy. In word, thought and deed. For Christ is made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sactification and redemption. I want the rest of my life to be a praise unto Him and a light unto the world. I can do all things through Christ who stengthens me.
