I wrote a song when I was in Nashville trying to break into country music. I was thinking about the sacrifice that Jesus made for me while reading Romans chapter 5. This statment jumped out at me and I had to write the song. "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".
While We Were Yet Sinners
Scarcely for a righteous man will one lay down his life
Maybe for a good man some would even dare to die
But for the ungodly there was none to pay the price
So, God sent His only Son to be our sacrifice
Chorus
While we were yet sinners Christ died for us
He died the cruelest kind of death, hangin' on a cross
Left His home in glory to show the Father's love
That while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
The wages of sin is death, that's what God's word said
So, then everyone of us should already be dead
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of the Lord
But, Jesus paid our debt in full, now heaven's our reward
Chorus
Bridge
Even if nobody else ever believed
I know deep within my heart He would have still died for me
Chorus

While we were yet sinners Chist died for us
